POST SITE PROBLEMS HERE

I am seeing a bunch of hit and miss posts about issues that people are having. However, it is impossible for the web programmers to find the reports in this fashion. Though Cordelia can relay the messages, she can't actually fix the issues (as can none of us expect the web team).

So, please post your issues here. *BUT*, when you do, make sure that you are giving every detail possible. A "this site is acting odd" report will get us nowhere. Post when, where, and how the problem occurred. Also let us know what browser you are using and if you have already tried cleaning your cookies. Reproducible issues are easiest to track (with info on how to reproduce them) so, please try to reproduce the issue prior to reporting it.

Please remember that the more info you provide, the more likely it can be fixed.

I don't hate you, and what's to be jealous about?

no one wants to be hated Whip... and no one should be jealous of anyone here.
Perhaps there is a glitch... I don't knw. I have no idea how the points system works and really don't care to either. It was pointed out to me that I was in the number 3 spot... so what??? I manipulated to get there??? C'mon, give me more credit than that. I have alot going on right here in reality...not to intentionally do things like that.
You should be the last one to complain about collecting points...you who rant on for days on various blogs about polar bears, about the unfair point system, about lots of, what I consider to be, non-issues. Issues that really no one cares about. You lead crusades...getting points with every one... no one complains Whip... so why do you?
My 3 spot will not last forever,,, I know that and you know that... so why the fuss?? Who cares???

may you cling to it for comfort.

There is no comfort in being hated... I dont want you or anyone to hate me... and the only ones I hated here are mostly banished...no noble names mentioned.

Why cant I point out a glitch, one that i do happen to feel has unfairly allowed you to put your blog above others, without being called a hater?

all I will say is that I did NOT put my blog above others. If it happened...it is a glitch, as you say... not me manipulating.
And yes... I joke about point whoring... but that does not mean I understand the system... all I know is... post a thread=15 points... cmment on a thread=5 ponts...u comment on mine = 5 points.
That's all i understand and all I care to.

No new articles in either Current Events Channel or Politics Channel since 7-26-05. Now up to 8 pages of 1899 test posts in both, and growing. It looks like new articles are appearing in the Forums, just not when viewed in Channels.

Not sure if it is supposed to be this way, but not all replies are appearing in the Forums - one article for which the reply counter currently reads 141, only shows the first 100. The all appear when viewed in Channels. EDIT - My Bad - I should be able to see the navigation bar staring me in the face. Just not used to it, since all replies in Channels are listed on a single page. Sorry.

In addition, some replies in the Forums are showing up "pre-checked" as Insightful, such as Manopeace's reply #78 above.

Just ran into this error when clicking on the More button on one of the forum sections:

"Transaction (process 59) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim."

A page refresh resolved it.

I posted this on LW thread called TEST but ill post it here as well.. seeing that one person is being a little too oversensiive abou people poining out the points system..

now here is another deception to the points system.. which should be reviewed or thrown out..

Make an article..

Make it personal and private so noone sees it..

Then delete it..

You get the points.. you go up in the ranking and ...vola...

You get higher on the ranks of JU... interesting no? Do the maths... how have some people with only a couple of hundred articles made the top ten?

What gives, SD? The Blogging Channel now has 16 (SIXTEEN) pages of those 1899 test posts and it appears no articles have been getting posted to any of the Channels since 7-26. Isn't it time to turn off that test post generator & get new articles to appear again in Channels?

I've noted a pattern to the apparent "auto-selection" of Insightful on replies. This is happening only on my XP rig & not on my Win2K rigs, is happening only in the Forums, and it seems to always be the most recent reply only that has the Insightful radio button pressed.

My last four articles do not show up in my "Recent Articles" tab. It's as if they just stopped getting put there. I sent an email regarding this to the contact address, but haven't heard anything back.

In addition, when I look at all my articles in the ockhamsRazor's Articles tab, the ones that have not shown up in "Recent Articles" also have no couple of lines of preview to them. Bleah, here's a picture.
Sorry it's so huge. (Not a word, Little Whip.)

Curiousity. Why do I get notifications of other threads having activity, but not my own. I go back and check some of mine and have a dozen or more responses. Yet no notification that they have been responded to. And yes, all are the watch list.

I've deleted some my articles and 4 of them are still listed in my recent articles list.

And the seach feature hasn't worked in a long time. I go to a page with this message:

"JoeUser.com is undergoing some changes. Please try back again soon."

If I try to open articles throgh the Forums... this is what I get...
