Random things about Karma

Random things about Karma... that you may not have ever wanted to know:

- I have only hit two animals in the 19 years that I have been driving: one was a skunk when I was 17, the other was a couple years ago when I hit a bird while driving my sister's mini-van.  How do you miss a bird?

- My ears are pierced 6 times (well...more than that, but those are the ones I use).  4 on the left, 2 on the right.

- I haven't slept more than 4 hours straight in over a month.

- I sleep walk and will turn lights on throughout the house when I'm stressed.

- I have gone downstairs and watered plants in my sleep in the past.  (Which is odd...because usually I just kill them).

- I have three dogs.

- My female dog lifts her leg to pee.

- One of my male dogs squats to pee because he falls over when he lifts his leg.

- I was engaged (and had it broken off) before I met my husband.

- I was put under for my first real surgery (not counting wisdom teeth) when I was 14.

- I was diagnosed with RA at 13.

- I have had 6 surgeries in my life (not counting wisdom teeth) that required being put under.  And, I have had 4 surgeries that were under local.

- I can sing quite well, but not unless I'm in a chorus.

- I can't read music, but I can look at it and know what it sounds like.

- I was academically dismissed from University after starting out in the honors program.

- I have an Associates Degree in nothing (liberal arts).

- I have worked at Stardock for over 11 years.  I started by answering phone...now I'm a VP.

- I worked for a photographer when I was 13 doing professional darkroom.

- Due to RA, my left side is 3/4 of an inch shorter than my right.  It causes my jeans to fray on the left, so I tend to wear skirts and capri pants.

- I would wear sandals year round if I could.

- I own 3 pairs of Tevas and 4 pairs of Birks.

- I have a nerve problem that causes weakness on one side or the other, but has yet to effect both at once.

- I drink coffee all day long and get upset if I can't find my favorite travel mug.  (Those who work with me can laugh at that one).

- I have aqua blue eyes and ash blonde hair.

- I use three computers at once (use Multiplicity).

- I'm a vegetarian.  Was a vegan for awhile, but I decided that a life without cheese isn't worth living.

- I've never owned a house that had a garbage disposal.

- I compost all our scraps along with yard waste to fertilize our garden.

- My house only produces less than one bag of garbage a week.

- I had braces for 3 years, then my wisdom teeth started growing in and tried to mess them up.

- I don't drink much anymore, but my favorite alcohol is still tequila.

- My sister was the designated driver for my bachelorette party.  On the way home, I threw up on the door with the window open.  My (soon to be at the time) husband had to go over and pull apart the door and clean it the next day.  Luckily, it was a lease.

- We own a truck that I have only driven once.

- My favorite car is my 1970 Karmann Ghia.  When I brought it home, I noticed that the dash badge was broken.  It reads: "Karma Ghia" and I left it that way.

Very nice Karma. I couldn't help but laugh at your dog trying to pee without falling over -sorry but you painted a funny picture!

I usually use 2 computers at once, but this week it has been 4 due to a downed NAS.

Interesting side note for me.  I have been in computer for almost 30 years.  In the early 90s, I shunned windows 3.x.  Why?  My Exact words were "No one needs to be doing more than one thing at a time.".  I guess if I ever become famous (doubtful) that will be the quote I am remembered for.

It's nice to know a few more things about you.

Heh, the dogs one made me laugh.

Sorry to ask but what is RA?

Sorry to ask but what is RA?

Rheumatoid Arthritis (sp).

Bubby, on occasion, used to lift his leg to poo. It was hilarious to see!

Hehe...my Quincey dog used to do that.  I figured he was simply too lazy to put his leg down.

How in the world do you manage that?

We compost all our fruit/veggie scraps.  I recycle anything I can, and I don't buy a lot of things that are in non-recyclable containers.  My biggest problem during the school year was all the paper that was sent home with my daughter.  It felt like a ton when we finally took it to be recycled.

Here's some more random facts to add:

- I don't have a thyroid.  It was removed during the *second* thyroid operation that I had.

- I am almost 2 years younger than my sister, but a lot of people that know me assumed that I was older.

- All my fingers, except my pinky finger, but including my thumb are a size 7.

- I wear toe rings, and have for many years before they were popular enough to find everywhere.

- I've never owned a cat.

I've never owned a cat.

Shame on you!

"Due to RA, my left side is 3/4 of an inch shorter than my right. It causes my jeans to fray on the left, so I tend to wear skirts and capri pants"
I can honestly say I never noticed this until today when you showed me the frayed bottom of your left pant leg! Never would have noticed; you hide it well!
