A silly place filled with caffeine induced ramblings of this person named KarmaGirl....or something.
Dachshunds babies, that it
Published on September 24, 2007 By KarmaGirl In Pet Care

Through an odd series of events, I was led to a listing of a local Dachshund Rescue.  What was the listing for?  Two puppies!  Their Mom was rescued from a Puppy Mill, and she was pregnant when she was rescued.  So, I was able to adopt two perfect little weiner dog puppies.  The tan one is named Chester, and he is a boy.  The other is a girl, and her name is Autumn.  Yes, they were born at the same time even though they look nothing alike.

Ok one more question. Do they stray at all or stay close to home? My mom had a hound dog that if escaped would be down the street in a heartbeat. Quincy is part hound but he doesn't leave the yard (except for the two or three storms I already wrote about) and is very loyal as well to his territory.

Ohhhh one more since I brought up storms. How do they do in T-storms? Snow isn't an issue because we're moving to FL but they sure do have their fair share of T-storms.

I have never had one try and run away.  I have had them get out of my fence before, but they always either try to find their way back into the fence or end up sitting by the front door.  They rather be inside the house than outside, so they don't like to run away - at least mine haven't.

Mine are crate trained, and when it thunders, they run to the protection of their cave.  Like any dog, a couple have been scared of it, but not manic or anything.

Have a Merry Christmas, Karma!!

Where are you?

Merry Christmas to you, too!!!!

I've been hiding under a rock.  I like it under here.  It protects me from the 60+ hour weeks I've been working lately!  lol

How have ya' been?

I need to post new pictures of the pups.  They are almost grow...though they really don't look a lot different.
