A silly place filled with caffeine induced ramblings of this person named KarmaGirl....or something.

In my ramblings around the internet, I ran into this site: http://www.namesuk.com/title.html
So, now *you* can be a "Sir" (or "Lady"...or 'Duke"...or...)

I wouldn't waste your money on a "Sir" title as it wouldn't be a genuine Knighthood, a Knighthood is an honorary title which you can't buy - Well you can but you will be conned because it won't be a British Knighthood that you are buying which I presume would be the whole point of you buying it in the first place.

You can buy legitimate titles such as Lord or Duke, But these are meaningless titles such as The Lord Of Skegness which if you tried to use in England would cause people to laugh at you (Skegness is a small seaside town popular with peasants who can't afford foreign holidays) That is the only type of title you could buy so I would advise you to reconsider your purchase.

Historically, knighthood has been bought in various ways in the British Empire. Not in all cases, of course, but in a large number of them.

Yes but that is by corruption etc I accept that. I meant that you can't go out and buy a Knighthood on the internet.
