A silly place filled with caffeine induced ramblings of this person named KarmaGirl....or something.

To be perfectly clear, this is a "personal" blog and is no way related to moderation.

However, being that I moderate, I try to look at issues from every angle that I can, and try to see all view points.

There is a current trend that makes me very sad.  I have very little faith in humans being a kind species to begin with, but lately I have been losing even more faith.

What is going on?  What is with all of the oneupmanship of "he said, she said" around here?  Why are there all of these blogs pointing out what people say and pouring salt in wounds?  Why is there the need to have multiple articles all bashing on the same person?

I don't agree with everyone on here, and I don't expect everyone to agree with me.  However, I also don't expect people to pull me through the mud if they don't agree.  It's just common decency.  Lately, though, I have been seeing more and more of these articles that serve no purpose other than pulling somebody into the mud.

And, I find it a bit hypocritical.  There is a certain ex-JU community member that has his own blog.  He comes here and uses the material here to write stuff on, and people here complain about it.  However, people find it fine to have the same actions on this site.

I don't know what is so wrong with us in todays world.  Why do people find it fun to find faults of other people and publicize them?  I have a harder time every day believing that humanity is moving toward anything good at all.

I agree.  I generally dislike the whole concept of writing blogs attacking other individuals. And agree it is somewhat hyporcitical to complain about others doing it if you're doing it yourself.

Blogs are what you make of them. They can be fun, fascinating journeys of personal development or they can be petty, nasty ugly places in which we entertain our coarsest tendancies to "get back" at people we don't even know.

I'm diappointed too.  I'm trying to distance myself from all of it....I simply don't want to get dragged into feuds and side-taking.

It all makes me really very sad....

It is unfortunate that people choose to write some of what they write, there is enough trouble in the world without us making more. But people are strange and crazy things...

I have a sneaking suspician that this particular ex JUser is posting various personalities on his blogsite himself. One of them he says is me under a different name. This is an outright lie! Therefore I really believe that all of his characters are a product of his schitzophrenia. It's sad in a way, but comforting to me knowing he is alone out there.

David, man, could you be any more of a satire of a human?  Such hypocrisy writing on a site that you detest so much, don't you think?

Merry Christmas, even if you are a jerk

Merry Christmas, David.  I sincerely mean that.

You're too nice. He doesn't deserve a Merry Christmas. A Happy Chanukah maybe, but not a Merry Christmas!

Maybe Happy Festivus?  (That's a Seinfeld reference if anybody didn't get it.  It's holiday that would be perfect for people like David- you sit around the tabletelling each other how worthless everyone is....then you have a contest and always lose.)

KarmaGirl: I think people find fault with other people because they're not tending to their own life!!! If they took care of their own problems, gave of themselves through charity work, volunteering, and made sure they were being as loving and kind as they could, they'd have zero time for critizing others. I also think that they publicize the criticism of others to boost their sagging egos, and because they have a mean spirit born of a profound dissapointment in life, which they alone could change, were they mature enough!!!

Messy Buu is a "he" and I don't think he meant it like that at all.  I think that he was saying that because Mr. Hubbins looks at all non-Christians as "heathens".

Trudygolightly, if that is truly the case, then we have a lot of people who have a profound disappointment in life.

As a moderator, it becomes extremely frustrating.  One one hand, you have people who complain about the "nastiness" on the site.  On the other hand, you have people who cry "censorship" any time that we try to control the nasty content.  You can't win.  I just wish that people could show a bit more self moderation and keep their attacks off the forum so that I (and others who feel the same) don't have to see them.

Thanks for the clarification Karma...
As far as "not winning", I personally think you are doing a great job and have said so many times.
