A silly place filled with caffeine induced ramblings of this person named KarmaGirl....or something.
Published on July 13, 2005 By KarmaGirl In Blogging

I am seeing a bunch of hit and miss posts about issues that people are having.  However, it is impossible for the web programmers to find the reports in this fashion.  Though Cordelia can relay the messages, she can't actually fix the issues (as can none of us expect the web team).

So, please post your issues here.  *BUT*, when you do, make sure that you are giving every detail possible.  A "this site is acting odd" report will get us nowhere.  Post when, where, and how the problem occurred.  Also let us know what browser you are using and if you have already tried cleaning your cookies.  Reproducible issues are easiest to track (with info on how to reproduce them) so, please try to reproduce the issue prior to reporting it.

Please remember that the more info you provide, the more likely it can be fixed.

That's interesting...I can't comment when I go to the blog sites themselves. The forums work fine, but for some reason there's not even a cursor when I try to comment on the original articles.

I hope that made sense...

Hello, Karma -

The Insert Link dialog is jumping all the way up to the top left corner of the webpage when you click on the Insert Link button while typing in the Add A Reply box.

The Insert Image dialog does the same thing.

XPP SP2 with all updates to date. FF 2.0.0.12 (with Colorful Tabs add-in & FF set to always show the tab).

Thanks.

I went to send a private message.  Clicked on "new message" and nothing happens.

The site is so slow it often times out.

The forums of JU, while faster than they used to be (sometimes), are still significantly slower than either the WinCustomize or GalCivII forums. Now, I'm thinking it's not my machine or connection, since they are three forums from the same company, but still . . .

Oh, I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.14 (or is it 13? The lastest build) as my primary web-browser (except for when I want to post a new article, since the 'rich text' editor can't get to my clipboard in FF still . . .)

I've noticed a post I put to an article on Ockham's Razor's page has still not been counted. The 'Comments' says there are 25 but mine is the 26th. I put this response up over 24 hours ago.

I keep getting this error when I try to edit a comment of mine:

Please try again.

All the links in the "recent comments by" in your blog or someone else's take you to,

"Egads! It seems that the forum gremlins have stolen away with the post you were looking for.
If you're positive this post should exist, please wait a moment and refresh the page."

The number of comments are still not refreshing.

The two clicks to get to this page took 8 minutes on a 6mb cable connection.

Vista64 and Firefox.

On the my replies page (https://forums.joeuser.com/myreplies) all links to user names point to my own profile. Is that normal?

The Egads issue is quite prominent, yes.

Plus JoeUser keeps forgetting that I am logged in and/or logging in automatically doesn't work.

I still can only comment in the forums half the time, more than half, actually. I don't know, it's almost like the screen will freeze when I'm at the bloggers' websites. However, I can still navigate away from the pages, so it's not my computer or internet.

I've tried cleaning out my cookies, running my antivirus, nothing seems to help.

I don't know if my lappy is just broken, or if it's JoeUser's 'fault,' but if there's something you can do for me, that'd be awesome.

First time seeing this, trying to comment on a couple of different threads...

"your comment was not submitted succesfully, please try again"

I posted something to the forums a while ago and it ended up a blog post for some reason!

Also, all the links to my blog (citizenleauki.joeuser.com/whatever) now point to "citizenleauki./whatever".

Hence I cannot blog at the moment.

The Edit Button continues to be problematic.

Notice the presence of the edit button on Reply #27 and the absence of the edit button on Reply #28.

FYI, SD.
