Stardock Software's Store just got an upgrade!   Stardock Software Store We are happy to announce that we are adding new, useful, products that were created by fellow software developers.  But, don't worry!  We are hand-picking products that we feel benefit our customers, so the store isn't going to be flooded with random software. As an example, we have added  WinOptimizer 15  by Ashampoo.  If you were a fan of our Tweak products, then t...

As you may or may not know, I love ugly Christmas sweaters and really bad Christmas music.  You might even say that I am a purveyor of bad Christmas music.  Each year, I end up with a "TOP 10" list of bad Christmas music.  It changes since iTunes allows me access to an amazing amount of crap. Since I can't keep all this joy to myself, I decided to share this year's Top 10.  So, for your enjoyment, here is my TOP 10 Bad Christmas Songs for 2013: 10) Little Drumme...

My previous article was a bit of a glimpse into what it is like to live day by day with Lupus.  It was just a slice of my daily life, but I didn't talk about things that I do to try and help myself stay healthy and active. There is a balance that has to be found in life.  With me, my biggest struggle is finding a way to manage pain enough to stay active, but to not take so many medications that I'm stressing my liver.  You can't live without your liver, and since mi...

Wow, has it really been almost 3 years since I wrote anything on here?   As a little background, I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was 12.  Later in life, I was diagnosed with Lupus with secondary fibromyalgia.  I'm pretty much an auto-immune nightmare, but I still try to function as much as normal. Anyway, a while ago (right before Christmas), I posted a "week of lupus" on FaceBook, and a few people said that I should blog it somewhere so that others could see it....

I have been a Vegetarian for quite some time.  However, due to a new Milk Allergy, I have gone straight out Vegan.  Hives are a real bummer Anyway, the only thing that kept me from being a Vegan before was CHEESE.  I love cheese- more exactly Cheesy foods like Pizza, Mac and Cheese and cheese melted on other foods. Vegan cheese is usually gross.  I think I have tried about a dozen types.  All were nasty and ended up making the food worse than it would have been w...

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for awhile, and I have been discussing with my hubby what it should be.  I always felt that tattoos should have some meaning to them.  Well, if you know me, you know that I have a soft spot for animals.  On top of that, I happen to currently have 4 Dachshunds (weiner dogs) and had a 5th one that died a few years ago.  So, I decided to tattoo a weiner dog on my ankle.  When I went to get it done, they suggested that I do a band...

I have a 10 year old daughter that I refer to as "mini-me" (see exhibit "a" below).  She's a crazy kid.  She snowmobiles (exhibit "b"), Drag races (exhibit "c"), plays soccer (exhibit "d"), tames Weasels (exhibit "e") and is a vegetarian (exhibit "f").  And, she'll eat just about anything if it's vegetarian, but not a lot of anything at a time.  This has always been an issue for me because I pack her nice lunches and half it comes back uneaten. However, the Easter Bun...

You won't see me around here for a week since I will be at DISNEY WORLD!!!  Woot! We always promised my daughter that we would take her when she turned 10.  She turns 10 on Saturday, so off we go!  I have never been to either Disney park, so this is really exciting.  This is also the first full week vacation that I have taken in over 13 years, so I'm pretty geeked. I'm goin' to Disney!  I'm goin' to Disney!!!!!!!

I am completely an utterly heartbroken.  Last night, I came home from work, had a normal evening, ate dinner, fed the dogs, put the dogs in their crates and we headed off to Sasha Farm (a farm animal sanctuary that we volunteer at).  Same thing we do every Monday.  Nothing different.  All the dogs were their normal selves.  All ate well, all acted normal, all barked and ran up the stairs when we yelled "bedtime"..well, except Roscoe- we carry him because his hind legs ar...

Stardock has been at PAX for the last few days.  On the first day, we unveiled the Gamer's Bill of rights.  We have a smaller "official" version that Stardock, GPG and IronClad signed.  Here is Brad Wardell signing it   After he was done with his "business" appearance signing the official ones, he changed into his street clothes and signed the large one the gamers at the show signed:

Some of you may have noticed that I have been MIA for the past couple weeks.  Well, I'm not dead Week before last, I was where some of you would be very jealous of.  Where was that?  In Las Vegas at a Harley-Davidson dealer show: Stardock makes two desktop themes ("RAW" and "Classic").  One is available on https://www.stardock.com/products/mycolors/gallery.asp?p=harleydavidsonraw right now, and the other will be soon. Scott Kalitta, son of Connie Kalitta, dies this weekend during his last qualifying round in a terrible, fiery accident.  More can be found at:  http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080623/SPORTS16/806230343/1064 This tragedy is one of several over the past couple years for Funny Cars.  Last year, Eric Medlin died after a crash, and not long after that, the great John Force almost lost his life to a horrible crash. I think it might be time that the drivers, cre...

I'm not really sure where to stick this, so health & medicine it is! OK, so people who know me know that's I'm a bit "off"...a bit Obsessive Compulsive (at least that's what the Dr. keeps telling me).  More Compulsive than Obsessive nowadays, as my "crazy pills" seem to be helping with the Obsessive part. Anyway, people who know me also know that I have a lot of holes in my ears.  At one point, I had 8 in my left and 5 or 6 in my right.  Up until yesterday, I was do...

*note* I know that this is not "Internet" related, but I wanted it to cross post with WC....that, and I'm too lazy to post on both sites. I've been at Stardock for a billion years.  With that, I have been able to score a windowed office.  This particular office overlooks the pond at the back of the building. I have seen some weird things out there, like groundhogs climbing trees, birds that look like aliens (see: https://forums.joeuser.com/156307 ) and stuff like that.  ...
