So, after the Buymusic.com idea was thrown out the window (please read my previous articles if you don't know what I am talking about) I decided to keep looking for a service. After reading some articles, I ended up at eMusic.com. After reading everything, it seemed like an OK service. I,however, was not too thrilled about the membership (versus single purchases that buymusic has) but I really want to be able to just download a few song now and then when I think of it. They also have a "free...
Stardock's newsgroups (news.stardock.com) are a wealth of information. They also include a "humor" group, which really has some funny stuff on it. The following joke was brought to the group by Mr. Michael Block (who's a regular in the group). I can't help but chuckle about this one every now and then..... Ugly People... A bus carrying only ugly people crashes into an oncoming truck, and everyone inside dies. They then get to meet their maker, and because of the grief they have experi...
So, I emailed BuyMusic.com about my issue. This is the canned reply that I got back: ________________________________________________________________________ Hello Ms. Marshall, Thank you for writing to us. We are responding regarding your potential order. We sincerely apologize for any trouble you have encountered trying to download music from BuyMusic.com. Although you may be in the continental United States, when we attempt to verify your IP address with your Internet Ser...
So, last night I was in a mood to spend some money on frivolous things. I was planning on ordering a CD that I wanted, but I really only had heard a couple tunes that I liked from. Then, just before I pressed the "buy" button, I thought of BuyMusic.com. Since the idea is good, I decided to check it out. So, I got on the site and started poking around. There is always the good, bad, and the stupid thing that makes you not buy: Good: They seem to have a lot of titles signed up It seem...
Over the weekend I decided that I needed to upgrade my way of touching up photos. I have used trials of Photoshop in the past (which seems to be something they don't do anymore) and I had Photoshop Elements 1.0 from a CD that came with my Wacom Tablet. Now, Photoshop is great. It's got every tool that you can imagine in it. Photoshop Elements 1.0 was "OK" but was really not a very good program. So, I went to the Adobe site to see what the current stuff was that they had. I started lookin...
Please follow these steps exactly: While at WinCustomize, open your "edit account" and cross reference your email accounts (SkinBrowser purchase with WC). If you are not sure if this has been done, please do it again. Or, just do it again for the heck of it. After you are done, close WinCustomize and open it again, then close it. Open the WinCustomize Browser. If this does not fix it, please email support@stardock.com and mention that you already tried this fix. **Thanks to MadIc...
It has been brought to my attention (by reading tech support email) that there is a bit of confusion as to where to get the updates for the SkinBrowser when needed. The magical link for product updates is: https://www.stardock.com/support This link is also used to get updates/links for redownload/serial numbers for Stardock products.
