OK, well, I have always wanted to run my own contest, and I have $60 burning a hole in my pocket to do it with.  (OK, so I really don't have a lot of money, but I'm willing to share, and it's Christmas time.........)  I have heard many comments about how people want a subscription but don't have any money.  They also find it hard to work their way up to a user level that will give them unlimited downloads by "contributing", so here is your chance to win a WC subscription ...

I feel like a slug. Sometimes a cold slug, sometimes a hot slug. i usually don't get this sick. I have an auto-immune disease (Lupus) so my body has an over-reaction to anything that happens to me. Typically, if I do get a cold, it's gone in a couple days. My skin heals too fast (leaving scars) and infections clear fast....that is unless I'm already fighting something- like myself. The beauty of Lupus is that it sees your own cells as foreign, evil, intruders that must be eradicated. So...

I will try to be as polite as possible with this article, but I must say, I'm a bit ticked off at this point. Please also keep in mind that I work at a software development company and do customer service and tech support. Our products are distributed mainly electronically and we offer subscription services. So, I am not exactly an impatient newbie to this type of stuff. And, going into this, I knew that satellite service was far from perfect......I just didn't realize how far...... I have...

Now, I have had *a lot* of GM vehicles in my day. I guess you could call us a GM family. To prove the point, let me tell you a bit of my car history (keep in mind that I am only 31). Had in the past (I think the years are right...): 1983 Z-28 1988 GMC S-15 1990 Grand Prix 1991 Cavalier Z-24 1998 Lumina 2000 Cavalier Z-24 Currently own: 1982 Camaro (hubby's race car) 1983 Trans Am 1991 Beretta GTZ 2001 S-10 and, the topic of today's article, "Chippy" the 2003 Monte Carlo SS ...

This week has just not been going well. My daughter had a cold, which then got worse and then she got an ear infection. By Sunday night, it was obvious that I would need to stay home and take her to the doctor, which I did. Luckily, she is now feeling better. Tuesday the power was out at the office. I stuck around (well, at least in the area) until about 12:30pm then gave up and left. So, that made 2 days of being behind on work. Today there was some hiccup with the co-lo servers and ...

This article is just going to show a couple examples comparing the FinepixS2 to the Sony F707 that I have. Now, the Sony is no slouch when it comes to digital cameras. I have nothing bad to say about it, and I do recommend it for the typical person. However, I plan on using the Finepix for taking pictures of Weddings and Seniors as a little side job that I'm starting. (Hopefully, it will pay for my toys...) The following two examples were shot with no corrections, using the on board flash with t...

I have had my new Fuji Finepix S2 for 4 days now. This camera rocks! My next article on this will show a side by side comparison of pictures taken with my old sony F707 and my new Fuji S2. I will say that I would not recommend this camera to those "photographers" who don't understand aperture and shutter speeds, or who don't understand the importance of ISO speeds. This camera is labeled "Pro" for a reason. You can get "OK" shots with its Automatic settings (You still need to set ...

There used to be a time in my life that I spent hours styling my hair. Now I'm just happy if I have hair. I'm not too happy right now....... I have what they term "alopecia areata". It basically means "you go bald and we don't know why". This is the third time that I have lost hair. The first time freaked me out and I was very depressed. The second time wasn't too freaky, but it made me wonder if it would happen again. This time..well...it just pisses me off. I finally got my hair...

I have 3 dogs (miniature dachshunds). One of them was diagnosed with cushings disease, and is on expensive medicine for it. I never really paid attention to how much my pets cost, but it ends up being more than I thought. First, each dog averaged $500 each to buy, so that is $1500. They are an average of 7 years old, and heartworm testing and medicine is $300 a tear for 3 of them, so, that is another $2100. My other dog now has a $70 a month drug need, and we have bought 4 months so far, ...

Thursday, November 6, 2003 Bobby Hatfield, one-half of the award-winning music duo The Righteous Brothers, died at the age of 63 (November 6) KALAMAZOO, Michigan (AP) -- Bobby Hatfield, who with partner Bill Medley pioneered "blue-eyed soul" as the Righteous Brothers with hits like "Unchained Melody" and "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," died Wednesday night of undetermined causes at a hotel, his manager said. After buying the Kodak 8500, I realized that me digital camera wasn't as good as I thought it was. My old printer was not as sharp, so the details would never be as apparent. Now that I have a really crisp printer, I realize that, though my camera is good, it's not even close to a 35mm quality. So, I started looking around at "Professional" cameras. I like cameras. I would like to have a Medium format digital camera. A medium format digital camera (Which is a digital back for a medium fo...

I'm tired today.....I am *really* tired today..... We decided to paint the kitchen over the weekend. We ended up staying up into the wee hours of the morning...not too bright since we had to get up at 5am and go to work... Anyway, we have a 4 year old house, which was pretty much just painted the plain off white that all new construction seems to be in these days. However, I love color. I love vibrant, clean, bright color. The house of my dreams is not what most people would want, and,...

In my article: http://karmagirl.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=580 I mentioned that I ordered a faucet online. I ordered it online Monday *night*, they shipped it out Tuesday, and it was delivered on Thursday. Now, *that* is service! It was the exact faucet that I wanted, it was carefully packed, and was perfect. As mentioned in the last article, it was also $86 cheaper than in the store. I would recommend www.faucetdepot.com to anyone who is looking to buy a faucet. They are linked to from...
